We've Got Porches!

The front and side porches are finally solid and look great! We also had a fun trip to the stone yard to pick out counters. Our granite is available but we'll have to go back when they get more Carrara. This sample was sold but look how beautiful!

Drywall Changes Everything

The siding is almost complete. We can't wait to see it painted!

Pouring Gravel

The side porch and front porch are filled with gravel, and they're getting ready to pour concrete. It will be so nice to NOT have to climb up into the house! I think the patio will be set and driveway as well. So cool!

More Siding, More Insulation, Concrete Walk Through

 The siding should be done by the end of the week and insulation as well. We did the concrete walk through and decided on the patio placement and the driveway.

Siding is Exciting!

The back door is hung!

They've started putting up the siding and our exterior is looking more finished every day. Next week they're finishing that up, starting insulation and prepping for concrete.

They're filling in all the little nooks with foam.

Mud Pits

It's been a slow week because of the rain but they've managed somehow to dig trenches for the underground utilities. It looks like muddy work! I'm thinking our new neighbors can't wait for this to be over and done with.

A Couple of Fun Deliveries

The fireplace insert is installed and the framing has started. There will be two built ins on either side and of course later a mantle etc... but it's really exciting to see it start to take shape! Pocket doors have arrived and are waiting to be installed as well. We're pretty excited about the pocket doors because they will preserve a lot of functional space in a not so huge house. Our builder was really great about making changes like this and the cost was minimal.  We also have all the bathtubs in place. This one is the master bath and I love it! It's smaller with no jets so it'll be a lot easier to clean and a lot less expensive to fill. Plus, I love the pretty oval shape, especially when it's against a lot of rectangle and square tiles. It'll soften things up a little.
